British bookmaker Ladbrokes reported on Monday evening that 95% of EU Referendum placed with them during the day had been for 'Remain'.
Ahead of Thursday's EU Referendum, Ladbrokes reported a £25,000 bet placed on 'Remain' and are now just 2/7 about that being the outcome of the vote.
'Leave' is out to 11/4 at time of writing, and Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge told BetOnPolitics.co.uk: "Punters have spoken and they want to remain in the EU. As far as the money's concerned it looks like Brexit is beginning to fall at the final hurdle."
Meanwhile, William Hill say they expect £20million to be gambled on the outcome of the EU Referendum.
On Monday, Hill's cut their odds for Remain on three occasions as they went from 4/11 to 1/3, then to 2/7, in to 1/5 at time of writing, while Leave was lengthened, from 11/5 to 7/2.
William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe noted: "It has not been unusual during the campaign to see sudden surges for one side or the other, and although the Monday money was mainly for Remain we still took a £5000 bet for Leave."
