UKIP leader Nigel Farage has been backed by bookmakers to leave his position before next week.

Ahead of Thursday's EU Referendum, Ladbrokes make Farage 8/11 to no longer be UKIP leader next Monday (June 27th).

The latest market moves ahead of the Referendum have seen more money for 'Remain', with odds in to 1/4 at time of writing, and 'Brexit' drifing yet again, out to 3/1.

A number of bookmakers have reported five-figure wagers being placed this week, and Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge told BetOnPolitics.co.uk: "Money talks, and it's one-way traffic from remain punters.

"Optimism is very high and that's being reflected in the serious five-figure wagers being laid down. It's hard to see Farage staying in his job for much longer should voters opt to remain in the EU."

Meanwhile, William Hill have cut their odds for Remain on three occasions already this week, from 4/11 to 1/3, then to 2/7, in to 1/5 at time of writing, while Leave has drifted out from 11/5 to 7/2.

William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "It has not been unusual during the campaign to see sudden surges for one side or the other, and although the Monday money was mainly for Remain we still took a £5000 bet for Leave."
