Bookmakers William Hil report "substantial support" for Marine Le Pen to win the forthcoming French Presidential Election.
Following Donald Trump's surprise US Presidential Election victory, William Hill say they have seen money coming in for Le Pen and have cut her odds from 6/1 to 2/1 second favourite, behind 4/6 favourite Alain Juppe.
Incumbent president François Hollande is eligible to run for a second term and can be backed at 20/1 with the same firm at time of writing.
William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe told BetOnPolitics.co.uk: "Political punters clearly sense a connection between the recent Brexit and Trump outcomes and suspect that the French may be ready to cause a political shock result."
The next French presidential election is scheduled to be held in April and May 2017.
